Cabo Wabo Cantina Honors Mexican Independence Day with Traditional Mexican Dishes

 

Hagar’s rockin’ Strip-side cantina, Cabo Wabo Cantina, located inside Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, will honor Mexican Independence Day with a fiesta of food from Wednesday, Sept. 11 to Monday, Sept. 16.

Cabo Wabo’s executive chef, Tacho Kneeland, will prepare a traditional Mexican parrillada, served with marinated and seasoned meats, including BBQ pork ribs, carne asada, achiote chicken and chorizo; as well as grilled onions, jalapeños, rice, beans and flour tortillas. The platter is priced at $28.95 for an individual serving; and $46.95, prepared for two people to share. The Mexican platter is recommended to be paired with Cabo Wabo’s signature fundido de queso con chorizo, made with a trio of Mexican cheeses, melted on a skillet with Cabo’s house chorizo, priced at $11.95.

In honor of the holiday, the cantina will also serve an exclusive shrimp cocktail, served with fresh poached shrimp and spicy house made cocktail sauce, garnished with fresh tomato, red onion, cilantro, and avocado, served in an 18-ounce schooner glass, priced at $21.95.

Sip, sip, hooray! Cabo Wabo Cantina, located inside Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, is welcoming summer with a selection of new cocktails, available now.

Selections include the White Peach Margarita, made with Cazadores Blanco Tequila, fresh peaches and lime juice; and the Strawberry Paloma, made with strawberry-infused Espolòn Blanco Tequila, honey and lime, topped off with Jarritos grapefruit soda.

Additional summer libations, inspired by traditional regional cocktail blends include the Pomegranate Mojito with Bacardi Lime Rum, pomegranate, fresh mint, lime and lemon-lime soda; Tennessee Lemonade, made with Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey, peach, Aperol, triple sec and lemonade; the Cucumber Mule, made with Tito’s Handmade Vodka, fresh cucumber and lime juice, topped with ginger beer; and the Aperol Spritz, created with  Aperol, Gambino Prosecco and a splash of soda water. Cabo Wabo Cantina, located inside Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, will celebrate Memorial Day Weekend with drink specials, signature dishes and live entertainment on its Strip-side patio from Friday, May 24 through Monday, May 27.

Available throughout the celebratory weekend, Cabo Wabo will stir up a red, white and blue patriotic libation, the All-American, made with a refreshing blend of Absolut Citron, simple syrup, sweet and sour, Sprite, grenadine and blue curacao, priced at $13. Patrons may also enjoy beer buckets, priced at $23, along with Cabo Wabo’s signature selection of house made margaritas and dozens of tequila options, including Cabo Wabo Tequila, available in blanco, anejo and reposado.

Patio parties, complete with a DJ, will be hosted from noon until the late-night hours on Saturday, May 25 and Sunday, May 26 on Cabo Wabo’s outdoor Strip-side patio. Executive Chef Tacho Kneeland will prepare a shrimp cocktail appetizer with fresh poached shrimp, prepared with a spicy house made cocktail sauce, served in an 18-ounce schooner glass. Garnished with fresh tomato, red onion, cilantro and avocado, the shrimp cocktail is priced at $21.95.

Cabo Wabo Cantina, located inside Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, will show love for moms on Mother’s Day by offering a complimentary “mom-mosa” with breakfast on Sunday, May 12 from 8 to 11 a.m.

The Strip-side party cantina will serve moms a complimentary “mom-mosa” or Bellini of choice, with the purchase of a breakfast entrée. Flavors include traditional or blood orange mimosas; or traditional Bellini. Bottomless mimosas and Bellinis will also be available for purchase, priced at $24.99.

Cabo Wabo offers a wide variety of signature breakfast items, including the decadent croissant French toast, a fresh baked croissant prepared into French toast, topped with warm maple syrup, fresh berries, powdered sugar and whipped cream, priced at $10.95; CW eggs benedict, made with layers of machaca, chorizo and poached eggs on an English muffin, topped with melted pepper-jack cheese and hollandaise, priced at $13.95; and the huevos de nacho, with two fried eggs served over Cabo Wabo cheese nachos, topped with guacamole, sour cream and pico de gallo, priced at $12.95. Salute the Troops the “All-American” Way at Cabo Wabo Cantina

 

 

Cabo Wabo Cantina, located inside Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, will honor the United States armed forces throughout the month of May for Military Appreciation Month with a patriotic cocktail, charity donations and a military discount.

Cabo Wabo will serve the All-American cocktail, a red, white and blue layered libation, made with a vibrant blend of Absolut Citron, simple syrup, sweet and sour, Sprite, grenadine and blue curacao, priced at $13. For every All-American cocktail sold, Cabo Wabo will donate a portion of the proceeds to the Wounded Warrior Project, a nonprofit organization that aids support to wounded veterans.

Cabo Wabo will also honor active military and veterans by offering a 20 percent discount on all food and drink purchases, when a valid military ID is presented. Cabo Wabo offers a diverse menu of coastal Mexican and Tex Mex dishes, plus an expansive list of tequilas, margaritas and signature cocktails.

Cabo Wabo Cantina Takes an Irish Twist on Mexican Dishes for St. Patrick’s Day

 

 

Cabo Wabo Cantina will bring the luck on St. Patrick’s Day with special Irish dishes and sham-rockin’ Strip-side patio parties.

Executive Chef Tacho Kneeland has created dishes, available exclusively from Friday, March 15 through Sunday, March 17, using a combination of Mexican and Irish ingredients, including the torta de Rueben, made with corned beef, pepper jack cheese, Russian dressing spread and sauerkraut on bolillo bread, served with fries, priced at $16.95; and a corned beef quesadilla with Oaxaca cheese, sauerkraut and Russian dressing spread on a flour tortilla, served with rice, beans, guacamole, pico de gallo and sour cream, priced at $19.95.

Cabo Wabo will host parties on the outdoor patio overlooking the Strip, featured by a DJ on Saturday, March 16 and Sunday, March 17 from noon until 3 a.m. In honor of the St. Patrick’s Day, all draft beers will be served green on Sunday, March 17, with prices starting at $7.

Cabo Wabo Cantina Keeps the Fiesta Going Day and Night During Spring Break

 

 

Cabo Wabo Cantina will become Vegas’ spring break party hotspot with drink specials, live entertainment, breakfast and late nights throughout March.

Drink specials include 50-ounce glasses of red or white sangria; and 50-ounce glasses of Cabo Wabo’s classic margarita served in a souvenir glass, priced at $19 during happy hour from 3 to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Additional happy hour offerings include 50-percent-off margaritas, sangria, draft beers and select appetizers.

Spring breakers can party on Cabo Wabo’s outdoor patio overlooking the Las Vegas Strip, featuring live music throughout the day on Sundays and on Monday nights. Drink specials will include Dos Equis beer buckets, priced at $23.

The cantina will also cure hangovers with breakfast selections offered daily from 8 to 11 a.m. A variety of sweet and savory items will include the croissant French toast, a freshly-baked croissant classically prepared into French toast, topped with warm maple syrup, fresh berries, powdered sugar and whipped cream, priced at $10.95; and huevos de nacho, a plate of Cabo Wabo’s signature cheese nachos topped with two fried eggs, guacamole, sour cream and pico de gallo, priced at $12.95. Catch College Hoops Games During Viewing Parties at Cabo Wabo Cantina

 

 

Watch the courts heat up at Cabo Wabo Cantina for all of the college basketball tournament games from Tuesday, March 19 through Monday, April 8.

Fans can cheer on their teams with sideline-inspired food dishes, including the ‘Mad Platter’ nachos, made with artisan tortilla chips topped with a house cheese blend, refried beans, jalapeños, cotija cheese, pico de gallo, sour cream and guacamole, priced at $14.95; and the appetizer sampler, served with taquitos, mini chimichangas, wings, cheese quesadillas, nacho skillet, guacamole and salsa arbol, priced at $26.95. Buckets of beer will be priced at $23.

The LOFT, the luxury event space located directly above Cabo Wabo Cantina, will become the hub for viewing parties, with games displayed on multiple flat-panel, big-screen TVs, including a 200-inch video grid, a 200-inch projection screen and two 80-inch high-definition TVs.
